About Us
Jamin's family moved to Zaire, what is now known as D.R. Congo, when he was only one year old. Growing up on a remote mission station in the Ituri rainforest where the Pecks' mail and groceries were delivered weekly to their short grass airstrip by a Cessna 206, Jamin became enamored with flight, and especially bush flying from the time he could say the word "airplane" in Swahili. He pursued a college education in Aviation, gaining his private license, instrument rating, and A&P mechanic's license at LeTourneau University in Texas.
Elizabeth moved with her family to Spain when she was 9 years old and lived there for the next 10 years where her parents were working to establish a New Testament church in an area in desperate need of the gospel. She returned to the US for education where her missionary vision would remain strong throughout four years of college. Her interests are in graphic design and interpersonal communication and conflict resolution. Hopefully, these pursuits will be of help wherever Jamin's passion for flying takes us abroad.
We got to know each other in Raleigh/Durham, NC when Jamin was home from school for the summer. A year later, we were married. Throughout our friendship and courtship, a very big part of what we had in common was our MK past and our desire to return to a foreign field in the future. The Lord has continually confirmed that we are on the right path through His abundant provision. He granted both of us a college education completely free of debt. This is an obstacle that usually delays prospective missionaries from getting to the field for many years. He has also provided us with a place where Jamin can build flight time and gain further maintenance experience virtually for free. Read more about Compass Aviation Ministries on our ministry page.
We are excited to see how the Lord will continue to guide through His sustaining hand.

Esther Joy
Esther is our surprise honeymoon baby, born May 17, 2007. She provokes so much laughter in our house with her preschool antics. Her favorite things change continually. She's always a fan of a big swimming pool, learning anything new, reading books, helping mommy, swinging, singing Bible songs, eating just about anything, and her baby brother. She teaches us new things all the time (especially patience) as we grow as parents. As her name suggests, Esther's joy dominates her personality.
Jaren Elijah
Jaren is the most good-natured baby we could dream of having. He joined our family on April 22, 2009 at 10 lbs. 11 oz. and is growing visibly every day. He has serious eyebrows, a smile that splits his chubby face, and curiosity for everything around him. He loves bananas, black beans, bouncing to music, water from a sippy cup dribbled into his lap, and to laugh and be tickled. He is magnetically drawn to any sort of power cord and is always trying to figure out how things work. He'll be our engineer. :)
